Hi all,

I plan on changing my throttle position sensor soonish and understand that the throttle body will need to come off. Apart from a new gasket do I need to watch out for anything else while I'm there? Will it benefit from a little clean out at all?

Also, do pug/citroen sell these gaskets seperately or is it in a bag of 2000 or something stupid? Unsure

Cheers

You should be able to buy a single gasket. Yes

You could give the throttle body a little wipe out with a rag if you wish, won't hurt it.

Essentially, just unclip the sensor plugs on the throttle body, undo and remove the 4 bolts holding it on and then remove from car. Wink

It will of course depend on the dealer and whether or not they have any in stock or have any stock locally.

If they have to order it from Peugeot, then it will come in a bag of 10 and again depending on the dealer they may make you buy all 10 or may just give you 1 depending on how well they know you.

I have always managed to just get the 1, however I don't think I've ever had to order one, they've always been in stock at the time. Smile

Woody did you end up doing this job?

I am interested in knowing whether or not it made a difference to your hesitation issue?

Did you measure the voltage returned by your old TPS at CT and WOT, by any chance?

no need to remove the throttle body, only the 2 screws holding the tps on.

Thinking about it, this is true. Couldn't remember whether there was enough room or not. Smile

I haven't got around to doing it yet mate, am at Cov uni for a couple more weeks then heading back home to see my baby who's been parked up for a few months now Sad

I've got ham-hands so not sure I'll be able to get them to the TPS. I'll give it a go though, and if not I'll just whip the throttle body off.

I'll try and get some measurements when I do do the job, but won't be for a little while yet.
