Should have given it a good crank with a coil pack unplugged or somthing to circulate the oil around before firing it straight up if it was that dry.

    If the engine was rebuilt it should have been turned over with no plugs until the oil pressure came up before firing it up. Yes

    It may have been! I can't remember,.. just sounded funny!
