Is there any way to reduce the wind noise coming from my passenger side? It's doing my head in after being in a car all weekend that didn't have the noise LOL

What would solve this, new door seals?? Can these still be bought and how much? Dunno

Not sure I like the idea of bending the door inwards, is there a way to re adjust the door to make it tighter to the frame?

Regards
Dave

might be the foam circle padding inside the mirror cover. certainly was on my p1 years ago when that was doing it all the time

Rikky - I'll certainly have a look at the wing mirror and plug up any hole - although I'm sure the noise isn't coming from that area?

Roland - I thought about wind deflectors, but surely that is only going to deflect wind between the glass and the door frame, I think the noise is from wind hitting the top lip of the door where it meets the roof/chassis.

Adamb - not sure if serious LOL - but if you are, I'm not sure i want gaffa tape as a solution, presumably on the outside of the car?

Is there any way to pull the doors closer shut (if you get what i mean?)

Dave

Laugh my ass off

Right, i may give that a crack later on - Cheers!

Just out of curiosity, do people have success in bending doors inwards (seems a bit pikey)?

Also, can you get hold of new door frame seals from pug or a motor factor anywhere these days?

this is what i did, 2 month later my door handle snapped
it didnt click right

put extra stress on handle and snapped i guess

im now really paranoid about opening my doors LOL
i press my door in a little and then open the handle, seems to open smoother this way.

i have adjusted my door latch (which is held by two torque screws) soo many times now Sad

My old XSi used to do this, never got to the bottom of it. Always sounded like it came from the passenger wing mirror. My 6 does the same thing, never got to the bottom of that either. Not sure if the HDi does it, but my mates old phase 1 D Turbo did too. It really p**ses me off too!!!!

I used to get this, I added a supercharger to fix it and it's done the job, I haven't heard it since.

Fair play.

Was it a cheap fix?

Well by doing it the way I did, I saved fuel money from driving round scrapyards for parts and also saved any unnecessary postage charges.
