I found it very informative, don't see why it should get removed. Plus unlike all the other useful technical threads, it'll never get auto-deleted.________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

The toilet faq was pretty impressive. I didn't have the heart to remove it!To answer your question though - yeah I was looking through it lots today thinking how it's a shame some threads are missing their links and images now ________________________________________ GTI-6 & RallyeRallye gets sideways in the wet at Snetterton |

I thought it was an excellent read and certainly made me chuckle...Plus, if anyone wants to repair a toilet in the future they know where to come and look for information. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

There's backups of the information on here, but when images are linked from imageshack or somewhere, there's no way to store them.________________________________________ quote: Ash is in charge, from afar |

Indeed, its just backing up the link. Not the image itself, when you load the threads the images (Apart from avatars) are pulled from the different webhosting sites.________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |

I can understand pictures come and go but a lot of the threads are plain just missing all the text, as if somthing happened due to a certain letter or symbol being in the post and it causing the forum to then delete it.________________________________________ owain wrote: A GTI-6 with a good dashboard and the seats down can outsprint an E46 M3 in July. |

It's a character issue, doesn't like apostrophes or something and strips everything thereafter. Some of them are available on the waybackwhen internet caching service but not all of them. We turned them all into PDFs on the Rover forum to stop that happening. ________________________________________ I'm Si btwNight Blue VW Golf GTD Bianca LBSC Rallye - Track/Road Slag Project Thread Sparkling Silver Mini Cooper D - Super Dooper - (The other half's wheels) |

Its a shame and i dare say with whats happening and members leaving we will lose a great deal of the FAQs that could maybe have been saved. Shame really as i think a lot of people find them really helpful!________________________________________ owain wrote: A GTI-6 with a good dashboard and the seats down can outsprint an E46 M3 in July. |
