Does anybody know the internal diameter for the fuel lines that come from the driver side chassis leg to the fuel rail?

Mine keep weeping on the green and white elbow joints so i was going to just replace them with 2 one piece fuel hoses.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you.

Will the difference in sizes effect fuel pressure. The hose place can do either 8 or 10mm.

EDIT: do you mean one is 8mm one is 10mm?

I think you will find they are both 8mm, the feed pipe only goes to 10mm at the last knockings...Yes

If you are replacing all the pipes from the fuel rail to the back of the engine bay, to do it properly you need a 10-8mm reducer. as said above, the end at the back of the bay is 8mm but it is 10mm at the rail.

Reducer:

If you are going to do it you may as well replace it all, it eliminates those cube thingys all together.

never had an issue with those 90 degree bends, only the hoses attached to them.

Maybe it's just the little pipe then as its weeping on what looks like the 90o bend. The clips are tight and it's only every now and again because i can smell fuel very strongly when it's weeping.

Also upon inspection when i can smell the fuel i can see it dripping.

With the price of fuel these days you deffo want to get that sorted. It could either be the moulded pipe or the elbow, both appear to be a common failure. Yes

Thanks Stan.

Its the little rubber pipe between the rail and the white elbow. There are 2 clamps one holding it to feed on the rail and one holding the pipe on to the white elbow. It seems as if the clamp isn't tight enough but it's tight.

I didn't want to tighten it any more than it already is as i don't want to crush anything.

Ah I see.

Yes, in that case its probably the plastic elbow that has a small hairline crack in it. Personally, I have done away with the standard fuel pipes and made my own using fuel injection hose available from a factors. Much better IMO. Wink

It'll most likely be the hose splitting inside. I've yet to come across any of the elbows that were actually cracked / broken and leaking.

As Mei says, it's usually the hoses that give up. Replacing the short rubber lengths of hose between the moulded lines, the elbows and the rail is usually all that's needed.
