When i bought my rallye it had an aftermarket exhaust on it that sounded like it was blowing. This didn't put me off as I knew I could weld up any holes or cracks. I've just been under the car to have a quick look and it's a proper bodge job!

The cat has been removed and a pipe welded in it's place, this then goes into a ss center section and back box. The back box has several holes in it, but he big problem is decat goes into the center section and there's about 3/4" difference in size! So it's blowing like mad!

So wheres the best place to get a full oem quality standard exhaust and cat? Are Peugeot prices alot more than GSF or Euro Car Parts?

peugeot is the only place you'll get a proper Peugeot exhaust, though the cat will need to be an used item, unless you have £600 ish to spend.

£600 for just the cat? Think that will be a pattern part then! Big grin

You wouldn't happen to have a rough idea of the prices for the center section and back box from pug? If not I'll be calling them in the morning to price it up!

Oh and does the the gti6 share the same cat as the 2.0l 16v xsi or 1.8l 16v xs?

Just priced up an OEM exhaust and haven't yet recovered from the shock!

Back box - £167.89, not too bad
Center section - £126.57, again not too bad
Cat - £558.05 + £120 surcharge, f**k me thats alot! Plus I don't have a cat to give back! Looks like I need a second hand cat then!

Are those prices supplied by Peugeot or a parts supplier?

peugeot.

a phase1 xsara vts cat will do the job, but no other one will fit due to the manifold.

Yeah peuegot.

I think I'll go down the stainless custom route. Can get an exhaust that i want, that will last and is cheaper!

Never done a back to back, but as you no doubt know on my 280k 306 on a couple of RR days it made more than other tuned 306 's and std car's much to the dismay of people thinking the old Girl would blow up
Yes on the shelf in Mild and Stainless, Don;t forget stainless resonates more thou even with the huge box's we use
