i owned a not very great example back in the day, running a bar of boost, decat, air filter and exhaust usually gets around 270 bhp and they are pretty quick for the price you pay for one

weaknesses are the gearbox casings(not a weakness if you aint redline launching it) clutches can barely handle standard power, fuel pump and fuel pump wiring and air mass meter are known causes of problems, standard brakes are crap!

they are ugly but thats what makes them appealing in my opinion, oh yeah and they drink like george best in a 24 hour pub!!!!!

overall verdict, very fast, also very rotten, very tunable, cheaper escort cosworth alternative, and feels numb to drive

same as the pulsar gtir, just that nissan officially imported some over back in the 90s, the only difference i think were the number plates being rectangle like all uk cars

the dakar versions are the ones to go for tho, lightweight etc etc

Agh that's it it there was the gti and then the gti-r
It was the gti-r I was thinking of but for some reason I thought the pulsar was a smaller model, thought it was that small Nissan, with the little turbo engine, can't remember name of that either.

Miami blue with black 1.9 wheels? If so it was a dogSad went to test drive it about a month ago, surprisingly slow considering weight and the 1.6 g.box I'd much rather a standard 1.6 Gti.

standard gtir's aint that quick to be fair, my old pulsar running 1 bar boost used to accelerate from 100mph and onwards at the same rate as if it was at 30mph(all on a private road of course!)
