£10 gets it back on the road

Unless I've misunderstood and in fact Eric Cantona has just ejaculated on your patio and not cleaned it up. In which case, I'm out.

On many an occasion I've considered this approach.

New disks/pads/cables. Problem not fixed > Replacement calliper from a scrappy for £10. You'll find the same ones on a lot of pugs, 205/309/306 etc.

Remember you should drive a short distance periodically putting the handbrake on as you go so help bed in the new disks/pads.

Upon your return have an epiphany and decide you would want carbon doors. Then sell me your own. that is all.
