Well, i finally picked up my '6 this morning, and after an extended drive home Wink, i got it home and gave it some TLC.
Overall i am impressed, its got a few issues that need sorting, but they are only small things, mainly the front bumper needs tidying up.

But as they say, a picture tells 1000 words.

Before i touched it......





So, gave it a wash, wheels first, bit of bilberry on those....



Grotty engine bay



Greenery inside the boot shut



Bilberry again, there's not much you can't use that stuff for!



En vouloir





Engine cleaned off and dressed, still not amazing, but better



And after a clay all over and a coat of poorboys polish, still needs waxing and sealing









And its only modification, a sexy tow bar...........



She's not a bad old girl, to be fair, i'm off to clean inside now.
Comments and tips, good and bad welcome.

Already on it, its unbolt-able so only need to undo 2 bolts, its only been used for towing a motorcross bike.
I may get a little trailer for my bikes now i have tow bar.

Just had 2 coats of collonite Smile

I think i'd probably prefer a diablo, and i would certainly prefer an Astor, but i do quite like the moonstone, especially now its shining!

I had a Sierra Cossie offered to me cheap a few years ago but never bought it. Wish i did now, they are just silly money to buy nower days.

521 bhp and 480 ft ib when the engine was mapped, i've not driven it with this engine in yet, or with it being 2wd!
Last time i drove it it was about 370bhp and 4x4!

My old man's got a white Sierra Cossie running 400bhp and 400ft/lbs. It certainly goes well. His is the Sapphire so 4x4, same as yours started out. Wink

Hi Mate,

Good on you. I have really enjoyed my 306 GTI 6 since owning it the last 4 months (I also love my Lotus Excel but they are chalk and cheese). The 306 GTI is so easy to drive fast and is very predictable - it reminds me of driving a go-kart. I can't seem to beat the worked VW Polos for topend in my stocker but round corners I am almost as fast.
