As above im after a bigger set up for the rear brakes to fill the wheels a bit as the standard rears look stupid on the dimma, even more so with the 330's up front!
I know they are not needed but I'm just doing it for looks.

Thanks
Ollie

Thanks simon I'll do a little research on that setup, can you use 306 hand brake cables? So the discs and drums are one unit just bolt onto the rear hub? Take it the calipers mount to the original lugs?

Sorry just realised u said the drums are built into the disc! Do the calipers use the original mounting points?

I was told you can fit the fronts off a 205 on the rear, bolts straight on, dunno how the handbreak would work though

handbrake wouldn't work Wink

you can fit a vented 205 disk to the rear by using Bendix vented disc pad carriers rather than the solid disc pad carriers, the centre bore of the disk will need enlarging, same diameter though LOL

you may be able to fit a caliper from a larger Citroen as they have front handbrakes, though you'd need to rebuild them if they're from certain older vehicles as they used LHM fluid not DOT fluid.

Was just thinking about the front brakes on the xantia active as like u said the hand brake is in the front, Only problem then if they fit is the handbrake cables will be entering the caliper from the rear so routing them may be interesting!

C5's have the hand brake on the front also.
They have a twin piston rear setup as well, but not sure on disc size.

276mm disc, quite deep offset by the looks of it, twin 32mm pistons so no larger than the 306 piston, front brakes are either 283x26 or 288x28, they are Fahooking heavy though, there's a few lower sped 266x22 disc setups.

they're too small for most cars, limit of 750 kilos.

might be worth looking at 405 rear calipers.

edit, no point, same diameter a a 205+306 LOL

I know willwood did some and think Hi Spec did some too but like you said alot of money.
Welshpug are you talking about the c5 front set up?
Does anyone know if the calipers will fit the rear of a 306 and if the discs would be central tooth caliper or will the offset be wrong?

Ok so they are not that much money but then would still need to get brackets made to suit what ever disc I used, I'm trying to find a cheap way of doing it.
Going to look into ford parts too, might be worth a day at the scrap yard trying different parts
