Back by public demand Cool

Placing car adverts on a forum just isn't a good idea. Advert layouts are inconsistent, and the thread soon fills up with unecessary comments, so here's the plan ... place your advert in the classified section. When the advert goes live, a post is put in one of the forums (either Peugeots For Sale, Other Cars For Sale, or Parts For Sale). If the advert has a photo, it will also appear as a banner advert at the bottom of the page.

The two cars-for-sale forums are still locked at the moment, as I'm not sure comments on an advert are really needed. We'll see.

I've also imported all the current classified ads, so they have their related post in the forums.

In case anyone's wondering ... this is to better integrate the classifieds section into the day-to-day usage of the site.

Any questions / feedback / obligatory complaints ... post away Thumbs up

cool.. oh is there any way of implementing longer thread titles so it doesn't truncate them?

looks alright, i think the aspect ratio settings for the photos needs sorting though because it's pretty frustrating not being able to see proper photos or when they're distorted

I don't alter the aspect ratio, it should be the same as the original photo.

Hi Ash, if you got rid of the "For Sale" bit in front of every thread string then it'd make it short enough to see what the car is.

Cheers

Any chance of a 'Submitted on XXDate?' bit adding to the classified add?

Is quite useful to know how long something has been up for sale.

Nice one. Anyway of keeping it tidy by marking something as sold when it's gone?

Some nice bargains to be had in there. Layout is great too.

TOOK YOUR TIME BUT TOP JOB!!! Thumbs up

Also just noticed the "sponsor" area's are now random for sale posts. Another Thumbs up from me!! Cool

I guess there's a file size limit for pics, as I was unable to upload a pic of my car?
