any chance of what? clickys being made a feature? Probably not. What would be more useful would be to ban anyone who posts a link and then puts "can't be arsed to do a clicky" under it.

Failing that, if you highlight a link in firefox and right click it then it offers to "open link" for you anyway.

It's a good plan but wouldn't that put the clicky helpers out of a job?

To be fair, most people on here know how to make a 'Clicky' and for those that don't there is an FAQ to help you so I'm not sure it's really necessary to be honest.

I guess it would be handy to have an automatic url to link converter but it depends how hard it would be to implement that in the forum.

The majority of forums use a standard template, with a skin attached and then can impliment or not impliment the features they require.

This forum is 'home made' and while that allows much more interaction, it increases the amount of work needed to create functions rather than 'turn them on' behind the scenes like on other boards.

surely makes common sense to upgrade to something that has that as standard then?

I think the current set up is nice and easy to navigate.

Off the shelf boards have a samey feel and it's nice to break the mould.

This layout, with some new interaction features to bring it up to date would be a nice touch.

    Can't you do clic.. Oh

You know what I mean. Subforums galore make it messy. This site has enough sections for things to be in the correct place (non paying member technical questions in general excluded - but that's going to happen) without having too many to keep up with.

I disagree. I like the "homebrew" style of this forum and appreciate it's character.

I know many others do too.
