Hi

Has anyone on here or know anyone that has had a complete vinyl wrap on their car?

Any pics would be good

At £800 for the complete car sounds like a great idea, they say that the DVLA do not need to know as it is only a temporary colour change but I have nothing to hide informing them.

your thoughts/worries would be appreciated

Hello yes the dvla don't have to be told. I would be very careful on the vinyl type used too. £800 is about right.
The 306 front and rear bumpers are a pain, otherwise its pretty straightforward.

Any questions just ask!

Me and my brother inlaw did his vw transporter van last year
We did it in Matt black with a carbon fibre effect bonnet
It took 3 days to do, and was a right ball ache at times, but isn't as hard as you may think

Some parts went shiny as he overheated it when trying to get it to go into the nooks and crannies
Looks good though

I'm thinking of doing it to my bonnet as a short term fix till I can get a new bonnet Sad

Not to put anything away from adam b's work (which will be far better and more durable than the below)

But a 100 quid of this stuff can cover your car.
Its called plastidip. Its got very good reviews on the web and can be used for a number of this. Usually people used to use is to water proof citcuitry etc.
essentially its a plastic coating that you spray (like plastikote) but is quite a bit better.
It fills as well as covers, can be easily removed but for something like the spoiler on our cars can be used as a semi permanent (will last a few years at least) option to prevent buying a new spoiler.
Its strong enough not to melt if you cover your wheels in it and brake dust lands on the covering.
heres the site (Good examples on there too):

Clicky
Taking it off a stickered up subaru. Filled over the stickers but didnt damaged them on removal

When i get my bonnet and bumper resprayed i'll use it in winter (Comes in clear)
To protect it from grit stonechipping it etc.
Clicky

as i said its noit an alternative to what adam does but i thought it might be useful to know anyway. Worked great on my spoiler (ill get some before and afters at some point when i put up a project thread

Powerwashing a car thats ben dipped for a week Three times
Clicky

Interesting!
It's only a matter if time before a huge 3d printer sprays a plastic design on to vehicles instead of this wrapping malarky.

Thanks great site and products

How much would you do a complete 6 wrap for and how long would it take, just roughly?

Dependant on colour.. Matt black would be £950 and about 3-4 days dependant on the condition for clean etc.
