Hello peeps, sorry but this is another 'whats it worth thread'.

My astor 6 is in the classifieds (pugs for sale section needs to be brought back IMO Dunno ),
I thinks its gotta be worth a grand but there are people on here that are more clued up than me,
so what do you think its worth please folks?
Here is the very honest add:-

Selling my GTI6 due to needing to save cash before the arrival of my baby. I have owned the car since 28/07/05 when
it had only covered 36k. Now the car as covered 137,740k as it is used for my daily commute. I am gonna miss it massively
but I have just bought a 307 HDI Sad and it has to go, bad times!!

MODEL - 306 GTI-6 PH3
COLOUR - Astor Grey
AGE - 1999 V
MILEAGE - 137,740 (will rise as the car is in daily use until I collect the new derv)
CAMBELT - 110,140 (I have had it done 3 times during my ownership)
A/C - Doesnt work, has never worked during ownership
MODIFICATIONS - K+N, Scorpion cat-back

SERVICES UNDER MY OWNERSHIP
3/06 46,00
1/07 60,00
10/07 73,00
6/08 82,500
10/09 102,000
5/11 127,000
Next service due 12/05/12

The car has never let me down and has been a pleasure to own but it is showing its age a bit, I am gonna be as honest as possible.

BAD POINTS:

* Paint work has usual stone chips on front and hedge scratches down the sides (countryside living), also some small car park dents
* Crack in front bumper
* Drivers seat bolster looks like its been attacked by a lion
* Cyclone alloys are kerbed and have bubbles on the paint
* Scorpion exhaust makes a strange noise when revs drop from about 4k rpm to just over 3k rpm
* Kenwood DVD player is starting to skip occasionally when playing cd's and radio function has stopped working,
I will include standard stereo along with cd changer
* Clutch pedal is heavy which is common but does judder sometimes when you pull away but does not slip
and has never been an issue
* Occasional relay clicking noise, another common problem which apparently is an easy fix, I haven't heard it for
ages but it will be back
* Alarm siren is dead
* Rear wiper is broken
* Cooling fans are a bit hit and miss

Also the car will come with a nearly new radiator (not fitted) and if I can find the box, the parts of the origional air box
that was removed when the K+N was fitted.

Sorry about the poor quality phone pics.

Contact number is 07866800656, please leave a message if it rings out and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

With the problems listed you will be lucky to get a grand ?

It needs a clutch for starters , seat is a mess bumper is cracked, exhaust is broken and fans need sorting ?

Needs a lot of love to bring back to a good standard Yes

You would be lucky to get £500 with all the problems

Sorry dude

Sad

Truth hurts, cheers though, may have to rethink the asking price then :thumbs

I think it would be an ideal car for mechanical-repairs to buy and fix up Whistle

Not the distance you are away from him sadly. Need to find a new hero to rescue it.

Value is probably close. Break it and reduce the exclusive 60 to 59...

Really? Makes me laugh. Dog turd 205 GTI's go for silly money yet an OK 306 is a breaker? I'd say it was worth a bit more than that surely?

All it needs is a bumper and a drivers seat? Plus a few cheap parts that are second hand and its basically mint.
