Sitting outside my work waiting on the AA as the key won't turn in the ignition. It goes in but it just stops amd doesn't turn. Is it just the key worn and my spare key will do the job or is the barrel buggered? Any help appreciated! It's done it a couple of times but always then worked if I've removed the key.

have you tried wiggling the steering as you turn the key? sometimes the steering lock blocks it

Well the AA man got it working after taking the plastic off, giving it a whack with a lump hammer and liberal use of that wonder fluid WD40.

About to register, but if I get a new barrel and keys, how do i get the keys to work the central locking? Do they need linked to the car somehow?
