I too am growing tired of all the crap on auto locking threads just for shits and giggles.Sadly this place has changed since a fee was introduced and not for the better.

If it wasnt for the banter/people i would have f*cked off long ago.It also seems like owain said Capt Ash just doesn't give a shit anymore and cashed in on the idea of charging or membership than genuinly trying to change this place for the better.

^^ sad but true Ash.

I'm on here less and less these days as its like a playground at times, the genuinely funny threads get locked for no reason, the freeloaders still sell stuff to all and sundry without contributing (even if it is a hobby FFS), and folks seem reluctant to start new interesting threads for the fear of the "lockdown clowns" working their magic.

I did think that was funny, pretty sure Mei is the only one still taking this forum lark seriously and getting shot down for it.

Yeah the irony in that thread is brilliant, he says he's not going to be taken for a fool and has a go at Mei but hasn't realised that Mei is the only serious one and everyone else is playing him for a fool, it's threads like that that make this forum great LOL

you could liken it to the child that gets no attention from the parents so acts up to try and get attention..

By locking lots of threads and winding people up it might prompt the current admin/owner to do something about the frustration held by some of the members that handed over good money..

or those responsible could just nobbers...

If anyone on here things Ash will do anything about anything, they're foolish. He'll log on, update a post somewhere saying "woah guys, I'm all over this shit!", then he'll disappear off again.

Let's start a mutiny.

Careful, there's only a sewing kit's difference between a conga mutiny and "306gti6.com does the Human Centipede"

Sounds like all your lives must be dead boring when you all feel the need to try and make this forum funny etc, so much it does get boring.

Are you talking about people in general who like to have a laugh or the people locking threads?

Plus my life at work is boring yes, but at least I am on the right track to getting myself sorted.

The forum feeling it use to have, i dont remember it being as bad as it is now nor has it had many locked threads before now tbh. But then the forum its self has changed some what.

Nothing anyone can do about that though. Everything changes with time, somethings get better (like a fine wine) and something get worse (like a woman). Theres no way of getting the forum back to how it was unfortunately.

Crack on with the banter, All i am saying is that this auto thread locking for no reason is utterly pointless! i really do not understand! report abuse is fine. but if no abuse or trolling why hit the button? ........pointless and annoying.

Changes can create animosity but i think there's more to the reporting than a bit of good banter.

LOL @ atterz contribution!

Threads should only be locked if they are in fact being abused. I too am getting tired of people randomly reporting harmless threads. Allow the banter, as long as it stays harmless there shouldn't be an issue. However on that note, I do believe that reporting the thread should go to Admin to be investigated rather than simply adding up to 5 and then self-locking.
