This is condensation from short journeys. Obviously you've got a tiny pin hole somewhere or leaky clamp. Nothing to worry about. Make sure you get the exhaust warm all the way through (a good 15 min beasting should suffice, lol).

Thankyou Smile didnt think it was anything too serious, just nice to know.

It normally does a blast from bristol to london, so never noticed it before!

Try to cut those short journeys as much as possible to minimise this happening.

Its this condensation that sits in the exhaust system and eventually causes rusting and rotting of the mild steel system. Sad

Stan.

I have to say I dont make a habit of short journeys, but im pretty sure its the original exhaust so i wouldn't be devastated if it needed a new one at some point

That's going to snap off eventually, it's bigger than a pinhole, you may find that under or behind that clamp it's ready for snapping off.

Mine snapped off wheee the pipe meets the back box, if yours is the same then you will get away with a backbox.

Hopefully, i know nowt about exhuast, so humour me.

Would it have to be a like for like back box or could you replace it with a jetex/magnex etc? as there seem to be a few 2nd hand ones floating around

You will probably have to fit cat back system, you will for the magnex, not sure about Jetex though, people say to replace with genuine Peugeot one.

Genuine Pug backbox will last much longer than a cheaper pattern part. As for the Magnex, as Andy says you will need to buy a catback system.

Yes, although a decent catback stainless system will only set you back around £250, it won't rust and it will sound nice too. Smile
