Hi peeps

My name is Jonathan but my forum name has always been fast_eddie (very long story)

I have just taken ownership of a very very well looked after 306gti6 with the above registration number. It has come to me accident damaged for a very good price(last owner lost it on motorway slip road in the wet and damaged the n/s rear quarter and front bumper) and I am looking for as much history as I can about this car.
The car on the whole, apart from the accident damage is almost like brand newThumbs up and as it is currently on 111k I would like to find its former keepers and say a massive thanks for being so fastidious and caring!

The car has owners club sill plates/stickers/keyring etc so I presume someone on here has looked after it?

The car is really good for its age and I hope it continues to put a smile on my face as much as the 309gti I have sitting on my drive under a car cover used to do..

Any info at all would be helpfulSmile

Hello and thanks

Unsure Are you sure it's the same one? I'm pretty sure that one was scrapped, or at least I can't imagine there being any possible way of repairing it without pretty much buying a whole new car!

Iirc, it was involved with the milkfloat, then was cloned by the new owner
I'm surprised the welding hasn't shown up!
If you ever take the sideskirts off don't look too closely Thumbs up

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fecking temperamental.

Oh shit, if this is the car I think it is then you need to find out exactly where it came from as its not road legal. Whats the turning circle like on it?

Theres no way it can be the same car though surely?

What i want to know is why is your car on the same
    Number plates as mine?
You do have the logbook there don't you?

Think we need to talk mate, somthings not right here, can you post up the chassis number?
Mine has the correct chassis number that's untouched, so I'd like to see a pic of yours.

Ok, I paid the subscription fee to join this forum as I thought it was the right place to be as an enthusiast ?

    Have I just wasted £10?

The car is absolutely mint as I posted in my initial thread apart from a slight coming together with a armco on a motorway slip road in the wet that the previous owner couldn't catch.

I have tons of receipts, 10 previous tax discs and history. I am a mechanic and the car drives almost as new.

I have spotted the milkfloat thread a few times with differing reg plates so I am amusing its a p*ss take?

If my reg actually corresponds to a potential ringer then I will find out more info however, if its a p*ss take id rather someone just said and we start afresh. Im 43 years old ffs, I cant be arsed with fecking about with a long standing forum joke that makes me feel shit?

Ok fair enough I was joking about the reg plate, but the milk float was real.
Sorry if I made you feel bad it wasn't my intention.
