anyone got any ideas here. if i push the N/S front corner i get a loud squeak. its roughly coming from behind the battery and underneath the car so I'm assuming its suspension related. now I'm ruling out the shocks as they've only done 4-5k in the dry. also the wishbone bushes as they are rich's roller bearing ones. the bottom ball joints were replaced a few years ago but again haven't done many miles but i wouldn't rule that out. so anyone got any suggestions?

they were done when i last went to lynx for work but that was a while ago. id have to check the paperwork. they were fine at the time so they pumped in what they could. the car has not done many miles since then though.

went to lynx today to have it checked out. grease came out the bushes clean, so that rules them out. possiblity it could be the droplinks as they have some play in them. anyone got the part number for the metal standard ones? not a fan of the plastic version or the adjustables tbh now.

the plastic ones are better. they have a lot more elastic play before entering plastic play and then quickly reach shear/breaking point

am i right in saying the plastic ones are plastic so they break first in extreme suspension situations instead of other more expensive parts which are more hassle to replace

whereas a metal one put under the same situation might not break or even warp but at the cost of damaging other parts?

well its not 100% droplink related and if it turns out to be something other than them then I'll stick with my adjustables. a little wd40 and a quick spin the other day didnt keep them quiet so im moving on to my gearbox mount next.

I was just under the impression that the metal ones were more reliable, especially as the plastic ones have a shite torx fixing and weld themselves on. can still remember cutting the old ones out when one snapped

When do you hear the squeek? going over bumps/potholes? turning? or all the time?
