since everything has been working fine for a while id try another fuel pump relay, they sit behind battery

i would doubt it being the ecu mate

Fuel pump relay is the first point of call. These are quite a common failure. Held in by one 8mm nut behind the battery box.

I had the exact same issues about a year ago and I ended up replacing relay and pump, then turned out to be the immobiliser at fault.

Stan, could it be possible that going over a bump could break the relay? As I hot a bump in the road and it died basically straight away.

Chris, from hitting a bump in the road and the car cutting straight away I would say that was more the inertia fuel cut off switch being activated rather than a failed relay. Wink

Just to update this, mine was also a wiring issue to the fuel cut off (intertia) switch.

Thanks for the update - was it corroded wiring or just broken wires? Unsure
