Had the windscreen replaced just before christmas as cracked - and pitted as hell after 179,000 miles ...
Ever since it fogs up inside and was taking 15 mins to clear and stay clear.Cleaned it again yesterday and this morning it wouldn't clear in the 50 mins it took to get to work!!!
The Autoglass guy cleaned the glass before it was fitted and again afterwards. I cleaned it a week later with Mr muscle window cleaner due to the foging and with the same cleaner yesterday. The heater works fine as I ended up opening the drivers window to stop my eyes cooking today.
I'm thinking of cleaning the glass with meths or even brake cleaner to degrease it to see if that improves it.
Anyone have any thoughts??

Thanks.

Try a more cream type glass cleaner, like Autosmart Glass Glow, or the blue liquid Autoglym stuff. It tends to have more bite than the spray stuff and really gets the glass squeaky clean.

Failing that it would point to the matrix, but that would be a hell of a co-incidence?

When you say the matrix has gone do you mean that it is leaking slightly to cause the condensation?
