I used to own a gti6 a number of years ago.

I have offered to help a neighbour bring back to life his N reg 306 xsi which has been in storage for 5 years with a faulty fuel pump. So far I have made the mistake of buying a gti fuel pump on ebay which is incorrect.

So I am now looking for the correct fuel pump for a 2.0 8v xsi.

The phase 1 pumps are different. They do not have the integral level float.

He needs a pump from a phase 1.

that's if you change the whole thing, you can change just the pump itself Smile

Good point, a replacement pump could just be re-housed.
