I think the general consensus is that they are a very good car, no denying that!

I wouldn't get one after owning a '6/ralleye though, would seem a rather expensive diagonal step?!

Plus I see more and more chavvy types driving theses days, just like mk4 golfs (which I'm not comparing to ep3 type r's for the avoidance of doubt)

I agree with the above^

They are faster and more powerful, but not in a way I would enjoy after a 6.
The engines are very different, Kind of chalk and cheese.

I did used to want an EP3 Type R. When I had my EK Civic Coupe and I had planned on getting an EK9 next but insurance quotes were eye watering CrazyIn the end I reverting back to lusting for a GTi6 as I set my heart on having one when I was 14/15 (partly thanks to MSR on the SEGA Dreamcast!).

Edit: Good read, not driven a CTR myself so I can not really comment. Unsure

Driven a few wasn't impressed in the slightest. The vtech sounds epic with an induction kit which is quite addictive but that is all.

I agree with the above i only like dc2s dc5s and ek9s.

Would agree with this totally, must admit I have never owned a 6 OR a type r but have driven both to a decent extent, getting one after having a 6 wouldn't seem like enough of an 'upgrade' (well maybe to reliability it would LOL) to warrant the extra cash they demand. I'm still much of the opinion that you do have to buy something a bit more 'nutty' to really be glad you ditched the 6 in favour of it.

Yeah, I'm thinking maybe a 350z next, or maybe a Volvo v70r, should be able to keep the '6 for a track car then?
