I have a mint 2 1/2 inch stainless steel Magnex system for sale or ideally swap for a decat'd 2" and 2" centre section.

I have a one piece, manifold back exhaust with 2" through I think and 2.5" rear box, I can measure to be sure.

You'll struggle to find a 2" tip for a 306 without it being custom built.

Main problem with mine is postage will be awkward/impossible due to length but it needs a bit of repairing so I was going to look into putting a join in it at the same time.

Any chance of a pic? And what price have you got in mind? Reason I'm after 2" is because of a dwelt note rather than the civilised note I get from the magnex. Is it raspy? Backbox diameter isn't too important as long as its not 3"+!

Yeah can take a pic tomorrow.

I had it up for £80 knowing it needed some repairing but have decided to just have this sorted myself. Its nothing major just the welds starting to crack by the mid box as there is no bracing between the pipe and box. Fixed I wouldnt be sure what to value it at, I'd like to think a min of £150.

It is quite raspy and makes the exhaust note higher pitched, it's hard to describe but definitly nothing like a magnex. I will say it is pretty loud though

How much were you thinking for your magnex as I'd possibly be up for a deal with that.

Not sure what my Magnex is worth tbh. £250? It's mint and less than two years old with all receipts.
What make is you're system?

Bought mine for £120 with a decat - turned out the middle box was goosed though. Even so I'd say around £150.

Mine was the older magnex with the bigger back box (looked the same as the 3" pugsport for the 106) which seem to be more popular than the newer ones.

I'd say adding a decat and replacing the centre section of your magnex might make it more raspy but it would be f*cking loud.

It does look exactly like a 3" pugsport for the 106, I'll get more pics later.
I'm after a 2" system to get the exhaust gas glow up and thus more rasp.
I'll dig up the receipts for my Magnex when i get home. It's definitely the Grp n Magnex.

I know of a few people running 2" longlife or jetex systems. Worth a try to see if anyone fancies a swap before I stick the magnex up for sale and get a custom system built.

Mine must be 2.25" from the after the midbox and 2.5 off the manifold to the mid box.

If I could find the reciept I had it had the exact spec, pipe size and both box sizes but just had a quick look and cant find it.

I have no idea what make it is, the comany just sounded like a normal tyre and exhaust garage but it's been totally custom made to the customers requirements by the seems, it has no I.d marks at all though.

I'll do pic now and will look for reciept this evening.

Thanks for the pic, appreciate it. Be great if you could have a look and confirm the diamater of the system as I'm definitely after a 2" system. I know its smaller than what Peugeot run but it will give me the sound im after.

I'll take a pic of my receipt and exact spec on my Magnex later.

whats the best way to measure it?

Whatever mine is certainly didnt restrict power as me and Rich gave the car this was off a back to back with the standard blaze he had which went well and mine was a touch quicker even with a bit of a misfire/hesitation problem.

Going on what you are saying about the pugsport on a 106 this makes the closest noise to that I have heard.

A magnex with decat and centre removed will as said be very raspy but I thought it sounded a bit shit on my old one Tbh unless you were flat out.

After more research I've found that 21/2 is all good!
Where abouts are you?
Possible noob question but are backboxes interchangeble and widely available?

If your unhappy with it go to a local powerflow and they'll cut it off and weld you on a new one. You could probably just change the tip if you wanted.

I've had a good look and most backboxes seem to clamp in just behind the backbox so that's all good. I'm after a round backbox for the desired sound but its not essential.
Ryangti6's looks good to me. Pm me dude.

Matts rallye runs my old 2" system and it aint down on power. Mine with it fitted plus a decat made 176bhp on thr rollers. Only other mod was a rubbish piper filter, since removed for a modified standard airbox. I now run matts magnex and if anything iv lost power at the top end of the rev range. Sad
Sound good though, not to loud but deeper and looks good to boot. Smile
