Just a thought, there have been times when people have asked a question that has appeared in the "recent threads" section, when you click on it to answer them it turns out it is posted in paid part of the forum, and as a cheapskate I cannot answer them

I'm not the fountain of all knowledge by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who knows something about these cars who hasn't bothered to pay up since the upgrade -

would it make sense for unpaid members to be able to post replies but not start new threads in these paid forums?

I've had this a few times, too. It's essentially the paid members that lose out!

I've said this numerous times since the new forum was launched, Ash did say he thought it was an idea worth looking at but nothing has changed.

I personally dont think unpaid members should be allowed to start threads anywhere on the forum myself with the exception maybe of this feedback section. It seems like the logical solution to pretty much all the problems/arguments on here.

Is annoying. I've occasionally PM'd people with the answers. Rarely get as much as a thanks back though.

Just wait another 8 months or so. Chances are, there will be no paid members by then and all the threads will be in the unpaid areas.

Or maybe, good, well presented ideas like yours will lead to a change,............hold breath.
