What size speaker fits in the door card? Am after some components so I can enhance the sound quality, any recommendations for the lower end budget would be great also thanks.

6.5" which come as 16 or 17cm. There is little spare room depthwise in the door cards with a lowered window so you may need some plywood spacers which you can get for a few pounds off ebay.

is there any that fit with out any problems depth wise? just looking for a set of components to fit straight in really. cheers

Generally the lower end Alpines or JBL's fit straight in. The depth is around 59mm without butchering the door mounting pods.
