LOL

The mini is OK ta.

I don't like it as much as the Clio. Its nice to drive and sounds better but its not as fast, seems to guzzle fuel and I look like a poof when I'm driving it.

Plus the fecking CD changer has broken in it already!!!

The 182 is being picked up tonight, I'll be a bit sad to see it go TBH.

I imagine in 6 months time when Al has to pay for new tyres / service / tax on the Mini i'll be back here looking for GTi 6 number 3.

I'd imagine he's sold it by now, if a deposit was taken last week.

Well I don’t like it as much now we’ve had it two weeks and I had to fill it up (after 205 miles!) Average fuel consumption I worked out to be 24.7 MPG (the 182 was 36-37 so its not our driving either!)

I wouldn’t mind but it’s not that fast and it’s not exactly a range rover either - the boot isn’t even big enough for a weekly shop.

……and I look like a gay driving it.

Yep the Clio was brilliant on fuel on a steady run (@ 65ish) you could get 45mpg from it according to the computer but even calculated was around 42.

Round town with mixed driving I reckon it was doing over 35, that's not caning it everywhere mind

Think its quite common on the Clios for a faulty 02 sensor to cause MPG problems but you normally get poor running problems too.

Youll probably struggle to find an economical car then. GF drives half the time which helps!

To be fair from everything I read / was told its only a tad worse than I expected.

For a small car it is pretty dire though - bet your V10 audi isn't much worse and I know what I'd rather be driving.

Yep, supercharged ones are around the mid-20's or below if thrashed often. Turbocharged ones are very economical though.

Although you don't do big milage, its the principal of the matter. It's not like you're getting big performance. I ragged the tits off my Trophy and always returned 34-36 mpg, epic engines.

I remembered you writing that.

Yeah I agree it isn't a problem its more the fact you could have a lot nicer/quicker car for the same price and running costs (I'd have preferred a BMW 330)

Its not my car though and not my decision I just thought I'd update the thread with my findings.

It is good fun
