hi all, im having a bit of trouble with my car after first starting and running, if i stop the car and leave for a few minutes and start it again it takes a while to fire up, the fuel pump is kicking in and got fuel to the fuel rail, it fires up then dies repeat this process a few times and does the same so give it a few revs and its fine. but then i go to set off and put some throttle on and the revs die right down, keep tapping throttle and it does it for a while. once i have got driving it drives as it should. i have changed the stepper motor for another i have and its still doing it, this is driving me mad now. what should be a simple drive is turning out to be a pain in the ass. does anyone have any ideas or had the same issue? thanks in advance, simon.

does this either with air filter on or off, all silicone hoses with jubilee clips are tight on induction kit.

mine used to do something similar to this after it had been started and warmed. Changed most bits, never solved it though, hope you have more luck

Has the car ever overheated? Could be shoddy plugs after they have been heated

When he says air leak he means after the throttle body, resonator box cracked or inlet manifold or throttle body gasket leaking eg

Mine was like this when. Had a split boost pipe,it was fine for first 5 mins, somebody said that's because idle control valve is fully open when cold

this is a new problem after sorting out the ptfe gasket. i have just about had enough of my car now seriously thinking of getting rid. went to it the other morning and battery was dead no probs i'll jump it off, so i do and get on my way to realise that the interior fan isnt working, ok i will put my window down for now, get to my destination and come to start again and it has its shitty on again. came home parked up swithched off, done. went to it again this morning and guess what, yep dead again, alternator is charging fine battery is holding charge off car but not on, put multimeter on battery on car and it doesnt drop over a couple of seconds, it takes hours to drop ie over night. dont even know where to begin. so as you can see what a great xmas this is.

Battery is being drained from somewhere that uses a small amount of power. Check all your fuses under the dash i bet theres a blown 1.

took a while but i now think i might have this sorted, the battery dying was a fooked halfords battery so changed to a new one and no problems. as for the starting issue after running i have had it on a diagnostics machine and i have a knackered temp sensor that is reading -40 lol, and a dead engine speed sensor, also the oxygen sensor is coming up because of the temp sensor which is causing most of the problems. just letting you know so if anyone else has these issues you know what to check.

anyone know how much a temp sensor of pug are? or where else to get one from. there are none on ebay.
