just motd my car got home and just looked at the old mot and it was due on the 17 jan, and the new mot is dated today! i know that i have take it for its mot to early but shoudnt it e dated for 17th of jan? am i right or is it dated correct?

If it passed today then it will be dated today.

no as the 17th of jan is more than 30 days time if you mot'ed it on the 18th of dec then i would have wanted it for the 17th jan.

No, because your current one now doesn't expire until December next year, which is more than 30 days away.

I don't believe they can change *anything* using the new computer-based system, that's the point of it.

The earliest date you can present the vehicle for test and preserve the existing anniversary is printed on the certificate.

It's a maximum of 1 calendar month in advance.

Thats funny, one of my crew members is called Owl. he locked locked up for almost killing other crew member 'Honest Opinions' though. Luckily me and 'Maximum Overdrive' were there to stop him.
