does any of the XU engines use a solid crank pulley, ie, without the rubber insert? was thinking 205 gti maybe??

i need to mount a trigger wheel on to it so i can use cossie management, i know there are custom aluminium pullies

available but my trigger wheel is steel and ideally want to spot weld the 2 together.

As always, any info would be much appreciated

cheers

See if richw can machine a solid billet steel one. Its only a case of changing speeds and feeds on the cnc lathes manual over rides. Thats what id do anyhow, the program will remain the same.

I take it the Cosworth management is 36-1 instead of 60-2?

The cast pulley won't weld very nicely to a mild steel trigger ring anyway, the welds will vey likely crack out of the pulley as they cool. Dowels and loctited bolts are the best method of securing something like that.

Its neither, it uses only 4 teeth spaced 90 degrees apart, iv'e never seen this kind of trigger before

would have been nice to machine counting teeth off of pug flywheel and then somehow fit new ones, but too much

margin for error me thinks

if cossie had used a 6 rib belt instead of vee type then i would have looked into machining one of those to

fit XU crank

oh the joys of modifying!
