I had the pleasure of delivering this yesterday, it's the second in the country both demo models for the dealers.
It got a lot of attention at the petrol station and on the motorway from other truckers!
There is a new model out now with an extra 100 bhp but as far as im aware from info from all the dealers I see that there isn't one in the country and this is without doubt the best truck in the country.
It went like f*ck aswell till it hit 56, I can imagine this thing would pull some extreme weight without struggling!
You can't see it on the pics but it had a really cool metallic green pearl in the black paint that looked really nice when the sun hit it.
I'm in my phone and pics look fine but I can't reduce them as laptop Is broken and I can't work our how to edit with Photobucket, so sorry for large pics

lol well it's a 16 litre 750 bhp Volvo fh globetrotter!
Very very rare and expensive!
The torque this engine produces is absurd!
I got swarmed by truckers at the petrol station, all looking in and around it lol!

I've sometimes wondered what a tractor unit is like to drive without any trailer.

I'm guessing over £100,000 worth of vehicle there?

tractor units with no trailer are awesome to drive, I do it on a daily basis all brand new, I live it, it's great.
This one was a treat.
Them tyres are not on the usual models, there a low profile anti splash low energy and really wide, must cost a fortune.
Even the trailing axle that's up in the air had really wide tires on.
Gotta be over 100k plus vat here.

there's a good few fh16 s about but only two in the country with 750bhp, I've seen a few between 600 and 680 bhp but they just looked like any other except the fh16 sign at the top!

What do Stobart pull with there's?

I saw a 700 a few weeks ago.

are they twin turbo V8's?

standard super singles are 365 60, so those at 385 55 are pretty hefty!

Most of the the R series I think, R500 is the smallest. R730 the biggest (they're all the same 15.6l engine)

3500 Nm Shock

Nice thread! Thumbs up Could make the pics a bit bigger? Blink

I love trucks! Im a keen Truck racing fan too Best motorsport imo! Cool Globetrotter FTMFW! Awesome looking trucks along with the Scanias. Don't know much about them I could not tell you any models or spec Sad

You sir have an EPIC job driving the likes of that. Very Jealous! Dry I want to do my LGV and work my way up to Class 1 but Im a bit daunted by all of it as I have no idea how much it all costs and where I can go to gain my licences? However the is a company in Devizes called WTTL that does all the training just I don't know where to start, don't have the funds yet anyway but I would like to start looking into it sometime in the new year hopefully. Unsure
