Does a low boost SC setup still use a MAP sensor?

The car was fine all over the weekend when I was using it and as on monday morning it wont idle at all. If I start the car and hold the throttle, its fine. If I let go, it dies straight away.

Have you tried unplugging it to so if it will idle then? They will usually tick over just not very good with it unplugged and seem a bit lazy to rev.

I'm thinking if it still wont tick over then it's probably not the map, I assume you've checked Icv? Also IIRC you need to extend some of the sensor wires for the Sc conversion, have you checked all this is okay and something hasnt pulled out etc?

+1 for the stepper motor. Do you know how to check if it's working properly?

Mine kept firing the end off the stepper motor I bought a pattern one and it did the same. Bought another genuine one and all was fine.

Mine did this when I took it out to clean it. Ping'd off and made a bid for freedom down my street.

I just WD40'd it and refitted it to the end, should I have replaced it after it had flew off?

Dave

Edit: Chris, give me a text or message if you eliminate the MAP or still want a hand tomorrow!
