Quick question is there anything important I should know about disarming both driver and passenger air bag's i've never done it before and i don't want it blowing up in my face. I'm removing the dash board to get to my heater.

Is it as simple as disconnecting both legs of the battery? and I assume it's safe if they have no voltage supply right or can they still blow up?

disconnect your battery around an hour before you start. airbags are designed to hold charge if they lose power in an accident.

Yep, how can an ecu with no power, ie battery disconnected send a charge to ignite the airbag. LOL

Basically, as long as the ignition is off the circuit is asleep.

American fags will light petrol in the same way American cars instantly explode in a huge ball of flame from a crash.

Does an SRS system not have capacitors to ensure deployment if an accident causes lose of power?

That's why your advised to wait 15 mins to allow these to discharge.
