When was it registered?

May 2000.

Hmm, that raises a wry smile. We tried to get one through a leasing scheme sometime in late 1999 but couldn't get hold of one. We were told there were no new ones left, sounds like that wasn't quite true. Ended up with a Mk4 Golf GTI - not really the same thing! Finally got a Rallye this year, about our eighth 306 I think. Yours looks spot on, doubt I will ever get ours half that tidy. If you ever want to part with it let me know!

seems they were lying to you or they didnt know they were sitting in a compond, as the is a few 2000 V-reg ones and I thought mine was the only W-reg one but on the 306 Rallye register the is 2 more on a W, registered slightly before mine.
