Not sure where to put this, so thought I would put it in general. Don't suppose it matters as most unpaid members use this section for technical queries Whistle

Looking to buy a boost gauge for my supercharged gti6, I know that you don't really need one, but I kinda want one and would be handy to know that its not overboosting or anything. Would be good to know its running at the correct amount Smile

The question I have is, does it matter what gauge you get? I have seen a few people (Andy, buzzbrightyear for example) has a specific supercharger gauge, but another one for a turbo should be fine? I dont see why not, unless its only down to range on the dial? Ie, pointless having a gauge that goes up to 30 psi, when low boost SC runs at like 6-7. The one I am after is a digital guage, so I guess this is ok?

Cheers,
Chris

I ran a greedy one in my old scooby. Great little tool for helping sort out boost issues. I dont see wht a turbo one like my old one wouldnt work. It had a warning light you could set too which I set to just above the normal boost limit. So you could easily see if it was overboosting. It also saved the maxim boost acheived. God I miss that thing... Sad

I'm being a tart mate and want one of those smoked ones that looks like nothing until its on. If that makes sense?

Can I use any one though?

I had the Defi Gauges in my Impreza, best ones I have ever used.

ProComp Ultralite gauges are also very good.
