I've never sold a car either, I've only owned 2 cars, both of them 306s. The DTurbo was scrapped after becoming hydro locked and screwing the turbo and engine up (flooded road and a landrover charging the other way = large bow wave and dead car).

The S16 I still own and it will be back on the road once I've saved up some monies.

I miss driving them both, the DTurbo was fun to drive, it had a huge amount of torque and was very punchy when driven properly. The S16 though is a completely different animal.

Ahh f*ck you're right! Anyone wanna swap their Xsara/306 for the Lotus?? Laugh my ass off

My 306 XS. Cheap to run, cheap to insure, reliable, comfortable, decent sound system, handled well and was nice and quiet for general pootling about with friends. When we moved house in 2009 there wasn't space at the new place for me to keep the 205 and the 306, so one of them had to go. Couldn't sell the 205 after having completed the Mi16 conversion and not driving it.

Guy I used to work with in Edinburgh had one. Used to rave about it all the time, until a dog attempted suicide on his front bumper LOL

I dont regret selling any of my cars but i do still have a soft spot for my old 147 GTA; although i now have the focus it feels more like a stop-gap to something else rather than a replacement.

Had this from 1999 to 2005, was featured in Fast Ford Magazine in October 2004.

Final spec was a 1905cc low comp CVH, hybrid t3 turbo, AP 315mm 4pot's, caged, Slicks, Koni suspension, did 247bhp regular on Jamsport's rollers.

Would monster most stuff on trackdays back then, and used to cough the most fantastic flames on the overun. Sold it when i ran my own business and it was not being used. Should have hung onto it with hindsight.

Dont think so Carl. I sold it to a guy who kerbed the wheel as he drove away from my house the night he collected it, he rang me after a month and said he'd had an accident and the insurance company wanted to know what "the funny yellow suspension was" and it aint been taxed for the last couple of years. Probably in bits now. Shame really, but as he paid me all the money for it, it don't matter LOL!

LOL TBH, I have only ever sold 1 car!!! owned 4. 1 x blew up on me, 1x rusted to death and had to be crushed, 1x got sold and the 4th I'm currently driving around in.

Admitedly, my 306 D-Turbo that I actually DID sell, I regret because it was a solid little car and would have been nice to have kept.

You say that but I had a d plate rs turbo a few years ago now and sold that to a similar sort of person, this and that got damaged and I wish I never sold it to him, took me years to get it looking nice and in a few months he more or less killed it.

Think your the same sort of person as me, want a car to look nice and go just as well, outside under the car at ever opportunity, I can see your new toy (the jeep) getting a make over soon? LOL

A friend of mine had a lambo orange S2 years ago with a 2.1 ZVH lump. Was immaculate. The respray was fantastic. Not a mark on it.

This was back in the same sort of period when a tidy, decent spec RST demanded around 4k (half decent ones make that now from what I remember when I looked not long ago) and when he sold it, the chav said he was going to put a carbon fibre spoiler on it. LOL He wasn't joking either. But as you say, the money was on the table.

I am going to hunt the pictures down. They must be on the net somewhere. It was featured in a few Ford mags at the time.
