it's a franchise so some places are awesome, others are a big pile of donkey dick, you need to get local advice.

As been said, some are great, some not so great.

I have had 2 Longlife exhausts which I have bought second hand and they have both been very good Yes

The one I sold to Manthos, I really miss Cry

Find out what spec exhaust will suit your application and get them to make it to that, thats what I did with my 205 and it worked out quite well.

I'd imagine you'll need 2.25 or 2.5 pipe and the biggest rear box you can fit under there, and a decent lenggth centre box.

keep the tailpipe the same size, or smaller in fact (as the gas speeds will have dropped by then and dont need such a large pipe) or you'll make it noisy and crap.

All I know is that I need a 2.5 bore. So a bigger back box and small tailpipe.

I've got a long life in 'mild sport'. Quality is pretty good, went back to have it set straight as it hung slightly wonky and they did it there and then no questions asked.

It's quiet enough driving around town but unfortunately there's a boom under load at motorway speeds of 60 - 80. Quietens right down after that though Ninja:

I have a long life and it a nice pipe. When I ran their decat it sounded awesome. A nice little rasp and it popped quite nicely too. I now run it with the cat for legalness but it still sound great. Not too noisy unless your thrashing it. Fits okay but the mid section is a touch too big to tuck up totally. But would reccomend them. Smile

I had a custom 2.5 exhaust system to match my turbo down pipe made by Longlife's head R&D guy at Topgear in Bridport. They did a fantastic job, though I had a few sneaky mandrel bends put in. Only issue was the backbox was not made as a single straight through pipe which has held back the system a little, but it is very quiet which was my request. Book yourself in there for a good job.

Realistically I wish I shelled out a few hundred more though on a fully mandrel bent system. Bore size and flow rates are as important as each other.

Following praises who have had them, I opted for the customised system on my Golf mkI 1.8 campaign GTI back in '00 at their Croydon site in South London and was very happy with it.
When I bought the Rallye in '06, I went for the full cat back 2.5" ultra quiet(my preference) system and got it done in Battersea (SW London) and I can't fault it since Cool

Since you've asked, had a look at my service history archives and found an address: Queenstown Road, SW8 3NP.

Not sure if they're still located there. But worth checking it out.

I don't have a PM system on here for some reason since the Forum changed nor access to the Teccy section, for me it seems daft to pay to give out advice or help members out.
my email is contact@pugracing.com
