Someone tried very hard indeed to steal Paul09675' s gti6 last night.

The car was sitting down the side of his house on the driveway and they tried the following to get it:-

Drilled out driver's door lock
Bent down top of door then smashed the glass
tried to bypass the ignition barrel then ripped it out
broke the steering lock
Tried to bypass fuel pump and pulled the pipes out it (f**k knows)

When they couldn't get it started they came back with a Pug 405 stolen from Livingston to try to tow it away

They only got caught cause the 405 trying to pull it out had no grip on his grass and was wheel spinning like f**k. Hence making lots of noise and it woke him up.

They were trying for at least 2 to 3 hours.

That's a lot of effort for a £1000 car. They obviously really wanted badly. Its not even highly modded. Only white cyclones with 888's on.

Lock yours away good and proper for the next wee while folks!!

Next to Wishaw.

Paul looked out the window and shouted at the theif geezer who promptly legged it leaving the stolen 405 still running on the front grass.

Imagine going to the effort of going away and stealing another car just so you get a sub £1000 motor.Shock

that one just up from me did get stolen and dont think it has turned up, I only got told from a girl that lived up that way and she said she thought it was modified, but i am sure I would of known about it if its 1 mile from my house. Seemingly it must of been towed away as nobody heard a noise.

The police couldn't believe it was a 306. They say people just don't this sort of thing anymore . Apparently if they can't get the keys they don't bother.

If it was a ferrari i could understand the effort , the thieves must live for the 6 .

Yea. Certainly a lot of effort to get my 6. Police said that they have not seen anyone trying to steal a car in this manner in years cause immobiliser systems are so sophisticated. They usually just break into the house and nick the keys. What they done seems really clever in some ways but really stupid in others. Who tries to drag a car uphill on wet grass with a pug 405 diesel and not expect to get stuck!! W*nkers. Needless to say it is now sitting in a neighbours drive wedged between a garage and a house with a transit van and Citroen people carrier sitting in front of it.

If they want to risk going to those lengths to try and get then they are welcome to it!!! Not to mention my neighbour who is looking after it is 6`8" and weighs about 25 stone. Hope to fu*k he catches them.

f*ck, that's only about 5 miles from me. Car's been made extra safe for the time being, also would love to see them try. There's quite a strong pikeyness to my village, noone steals from gyppos and gets away with it Laugh

My brother just got a shotgun licence. Want me to send him round?

Although there's a good chance he would miss the thief and cause more damage to the 6

Park your car on my driveway mate. It'll break down before anyone can steal it, blocking the driveway and leaving mine untouched Thumbs up

Strange the immobilisers on these are easy to get past if you know the systems and know what your doing, these pricks obviously dont know anything about them.

A few years back (when i was a teenager) there was a game car thiefs down here played, a group of them would choose a car then they all go away and get 1 the 1st back wins, could be something like that ?

And what would these people actually win James?! A 20 pack of lambert and butler?!

My goodwood's tucked away out of sight, out of mind, 309 is on driveway but has one coont of an immobilizer on it and the 206 has a deafening alarm fitted as standard.
