a couple of months ago i posted a thread about how my missus threw out my service history but now weve moved house i was unpacking some boxes and found it. i now have full service history, 7 mots, a few receipts and every handbook and even a service advice letter dated december 1998. it is advertised on here for £1500 with no service history i will leave it at that price until i find a 6 to s/c and then it will go on ebay slightly higher priced.

random question! with cars this old do people still rely on these things (service history)? and would it make that much difference to the selling price if not present? to my mind these cars seem to be worth sod all nowadays anyway? i know it will always help if you can show a potential buyer as much documentation as possible but would it really affect value that much?

surely the thing to do would be to hide the service history and put the box back where you found it, then your mrs would never know!
