hello, has anyone got any thoughts or ideas on itbs?
my ecu has thrown its toys out of the pram so am thinking of going for a standalone ecu and/or itbs.
any help would be appreiciated

I am running them and look at the pug1off offers in the general as the have some on offer with ecu

Not a huge gain on a std engine as the std inlet is pretty good but you get a nice induction note and gain to around 180 bhp, ECU wise be careful here and chose one which can be mapped locally, Omex are a good bet as are DTA which I think are around your way too, Emerald are OK but the mapping side of things are poor compared with the above.
That's why the old Low boost charger kit is good value, with ITB's, Cams etc you might get to the 240bhp mark.

thanks miles thats really helpful. would i have to change the sensors or is their a plug and play option???

only one you'll need to change is the throttle position sensor, you'll need a different coilpack unless you get a more expensive ecu to run sequential spark.

That's a + for the Emerald it can run the std 6 coil pack
