On the right of the header bar is our shiny new search function.

1) Simple search - just type in the box and recommendations will appear. For example, search for "Rallye decals" and you'll see one advert, and a whole bunch of forum results. The suggestions can take a second or two to appear, depending on server loading.
2) If you want a (slightly) more advanced search, just click the link above it, and you'll go to the dedicated search page.

Let me know what you think Thumbs up

Searched for "porn" and not a single one of OldBrownShoe's posts came up, clearly work is needed.

Can we have a link at the bottom of the page Ash that take us back to the home page? Just something subtle?

Or better idea... Could you make the little white rallye at the bottom of the page a link back to the home page?

Just save scrolling to the top everytime you read a thread.

What home button? At the bottom of the thread??

New self filling search is class, the 'advanced' search leaves a little to be desired tbh

Yeah, I'm not sure what else to do with it. If anyone has any ideas, let me know.

Ideal.

Quick search in the box is good, while retaining the original search available with the advanced search button.

The advanced (original) search has always been one of the best I have used on any forum. Easy to filter through different sections.

I agree it's a good search and has never let me down, but it is sometimes long winded to find what you are after ...

How about being able to select multiple forums to search through, rather than just one at a time. Therefore a search term could look through, say 'General', 'Off-topic' and 'Engines' and avoid the ones like 'I-Spy' or 'Parts wanted' ??

And maybe be able to filter out responses with only one post in (i.e dead end threads that never got a response)

If that is at all possible??

Liking the new search, good work! Thumbs up

Any news on the 'Previous' and 'Next' buttons for going through thread pages, for us fat fingered mobile phone browsers?

I know it was talked about previously, but I wasn't sure if a decision was ever made?

Definately needs dedicated previous and next buttons.

Also would it be possible to have a replica of the " home-feedback-youarehere " at the bottom of the page as well? It would make the site absolutely A1 to use on mobiles then as it would save us from repeatedly swiping our touch screens to get to the top to hit "home" or "projects" etc.

Great work so far and I'm glad you have the time to listen to what we have to say about it and make adjustments to make it the best forum to use on the www Thumbs up

I think it should be smaller like the top one? Looks a bit messy that size.
