i know remapping an n/a engine wont give anywheree near as much appreciable gains as forced induction

however

im wondering how much power, torque and benfits to the power and torque curves can be had with a simple rolling remap.

bearing in mind this is a phase one 110,000 miles. good nick with a decat and induction kit?

ball park figures and speculations or any other cheeky mods to help this figure increase will be appreciated.

thanks
james

You might be able to improve fuelling a bit but without cams or throttle bodies I doubt a remap would make any noticeable difference. The car and engine is nicely set up from standard.

Literally nothing. Do not bother.

Changing ECU, cams, induction, exhaust etc will only get you an extra 20 or so, a basic remap will do nothing more than just driving on a cooler day.

Save your money Thumbs up

thanks for the info, so without a new cam i may aswell not bother. I think ill just change my o2 sensor, did the same on my old 1.4 and that gave me another 4 bhp, improoved fuel efficiency and decreased emmisions

As ive already learned with my 1.4 a good "service" will improove performance way more than a decat and other "easy" mods

looks like im saving up for a supercharger then : )

Yup, good service will indeed gain you more than a remap Yes
