Hello,

Right i have deduced that the noise coming from my 6 is a tapping.
The engine has had a recent rebuild, if its not been timed up properly will timing it sort the tapping?
Also it splutters in low revs, more when cold, only way to properly describe it is like when your running out of petrol..

Any ideas/advice appreciated,

no, you'll need another head or replace the bent valves or guides in your current one.

Ah right, so if i bought a new valve and guide set and replaced the lot would that sort it? including timing it up too?

It its timed correctly this time yeah it should sort it
