I'VE RECENTLY BOUGHT A GTI 6 AND REALLY ENJOY DRIVING IT, JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE HAD ANY PERFORMANCE SUGESTIONS FOR ME. I HAVE A MAXI BODYKIT AND I WORK IN A REPAIRS GARAGE SO AT SOME POINT I WILL FIT AND SPRAY IT MYSELF.

Only suggestions I have are to stop shouting and post in the relevant sections Laugh

What will you be doing when fitting the Maxi kit? Is it a maxi kit or a dimma/other aftermarket replica?

Bear in mind you'll want the track widened, are you planning on running maxi wishbones etc or just fitting massive spacers? Plenty more to it than just fitting the kit, there's a few threads on Dimma's on here which will fill you with info, have a look through the projects section.

Performance wise, unless you plan on spending big money, the best thing you can do is reduce weight and improve the suspension. Not cheap eBay jobbies, I mean proper suspension. Again, flick through the suspension forum for advice. There's more to be made out of suspension tweaks than engine work unless you plan on spending £££

I'm confused. Are you telling us that you're black or that your new GTi-6 is black?

cheers for the feed back cwspellowe, I think I've prabably got a cheap aftermarket replica kit, just trying to find out what people would recomend and have taken the suspension advice on board and will have a look in the project sections. Im pretty clueless when it comes to tuning
