thinking about buying new wheels for my gti6 and go completely different with a set of mercedes 8 holes. there 15" 7j all round with an offset of 37. gna need either hub adaptors of a width of 20mm or 15mm but just wanted to know if it can be done really ?????

No reason why it can't be done but it'll be costly to have the adapters made

wheels are cheap and the adaptors are costing me 160 for all four so not to bad. reckon it will look good ??
