Hi I hope someone can help. I have the above in a stealth shelf and a pioneer head unit . The problem I have they don't sound very good when I run music of of my iPhone through the USB on my stereo . If i turn the base up the speakers fart a still sound not the best . Any ideas ???? Cheers sim

if it farts and you've got good speakers, the problem is with the amp no being powerful enough to push the speakers. the amp tops out = farting. also the source may not be the best coming thru the iphone's onboard amp. what stereo is it? i'm assuming you don't have an external amp?

What head unit are you using ?

Have you phased the speakers ?

And by that I mean fade the headunit to the rear and then balance to either left or right. If one speakers sounds louder or clearer on its own rather than when both are playing then they are out of phase.

swap over the wires on one speaker to phase correctly - should sound much better once you have done this Wink

as bowen said, check the positive and negative wires are set right on each speaker. if it's just the rear speakers you want amped, you can get good deals on old amps, i picked up an old v12 alpine for 25 quid on ebay which is top notch. mrv-t320
