i just bought a new lighter for the car, and am having problems with said item. NOTE: this is NOT a socket/electrical problem. i've bought a lighter with a logo on but it's turned up all foreign and small and does not fit. i can unscrew the top bit from the new lighter but cannot do the same with the standard one. can anyone shed some light on this, either i need a collar for it to fit or a way to unscrew the centre bit with the cig logo on from the original.

Interesting any pics? I've got a couple of spare UK lighters if you need one.
