Just came back from a weekend's break in Minehead (Butlins for the kids 4tmfw) and very surprised to see the difference in prices

Ignoring motorway services pricing, you carrot crunchers are paying about 6p more a litre than us midlanders.

It was 129.9 here last week, tesco just put their price up 1p as they are offering 5p off vouchers (thanks a bunch!), most garages I saw were 136.9

So come on, who's got the worst prices? Londoners?

I had the cheapest fill up for ages the other week, I took advantage of sainsbugs 10p off a litre; I had a big bbq on so did some of the shopping there and then filled up. I also took the old nectar points off the bill too and ended up filling up for £55.00 it was £70.00 the other day! £1.36/7 round these parts and the rest if you don't shop around. Sad

I noticed it going up to yorkshire last week. The services up there weren't far off what I pay down here.

Bear in mind minehead isn't close to a motorway, so any fuel stations around the area will demand a premium.

Normal Unleaded at Sainsbury's in Alperton, Wembley(close to Ace Cafe too, for those that attend) is at 129.9 and due to it's popularity it's always mega busy.
edit: forgot to add, Sainsbury's offers the Nectar points too.. Whistle

I've also discovered my local Esso in Pinner, Harrow averages between 131.9 - 133.9 for Normal Unleaded on some days of the week.

i have noticed the 5-7 p a litre that came off 3 weeks ago is going back on daily at the moment . every day it goes up 1 p. back up to 136.9 a litre round here. did see a garage in greater london today with diesel at 149. so it is all going back on , whilst the government is distracted with all this hacking nonsense. Bp seem to be the biggest culprits for high prices as i had to stop filling up there about 12 months ago as they just take the p*ss. i have a esso fuel card at the moment and if you have a supermarket near by they seem to price match, so half decent fuel for supermarket prices. 145 by the end of the summer nationally i think for unleaded.
when i was in germany a couple of weeks back , they were paying 149 euros a litre so i think we are quite low compared to them.

sold the scoob a month back , now got a mini diesel , looking like the best move i have made in a long while as i have only filled it up twice since i got it at £45 a tank.
never thought my life would get to watching petrol prices!!

Funny how we in Israel thought the prices here are high, turns out they are but not by that much!
Anyway, when I was in the UK which was 9 months ago, I filled up at Tesco's in Havant not far from Lynx garage..it was 111 and was very cheap.
almost sure it was for 98
might be useful to some of you (:

I payed 136.9 for Tesco 99 earlier, £75 for the tank! Regular unleaded is 5oz cheaper per litre. That's a Tesco station in Reading

Petrol is the equivalent of about 90 pence in South Africa for 95. It briefly popped over the 10 rand mark and then back to about 9.66 per litre.

Bad times at home but it won't stop anybody.

i saw this the other day and couldnt believe it.

even though most pumps in london are now hovering around 133.9 which is better than a few months ago, i drove thru alperton one fri a few weeks back and before the sainsburys there is an esso (as u come off hanger lane) and that was 128.9 and the sainsburys just after it was 131.9.... then on the following sunday, driving past again, the sainsburys had matched the Esso's 128.9...lol price wars in Alperton... was crazy....

i would have full tanked but had a ¼ V power left and paid big bucks for that so didnt want to contaminate.

Def worth filling up for the lads that frequent Ace Cafe... vroom vroom

    139.9 tesco momentum.

Those 5p off receipts really give you your monies worth when your tank costs £92 to fill up!!
