On the way home, put the passenger window down, no problem. Then it wouldn't go up and my drivers side wouldn;t move at all either. Eventually the passenger window did go up but I don't want to tempt it by trying it again and having it stuck down!

What could it be? If the fuse was gone it wouldn't have gone back up again. Any ideas? (f*cking thing! want shot of it! it's one thing after another atm! hopefully looking at a Cupra R this week!)

common problem if u search for it theres lots of posts, its the wiring in the drivers door, mine does the same. passengers door works fine, but i have problems with the drivers side, and if the drivers door is open neither of them work lol, think you can but the bunch of wires you need from pugeot and solder them in, theres a few posts explaining exactly what to do. hope that helps

I have this problem at the moment. My passenger window happily goes down and won't come up againDry

The fault is definetly in the drivers side door loom because for ages before the passenger window wouldn't go up it wouldn't operate at all if the drivers side door was fully open.

After much searching on service box down at what seems like my second home these days (pug Wokingham) a master technician informed me the part I need is the block connector in the door with a load of new wires coming out of it so it can be soldered in place of the old one.

He told me the part number is 6542 VQ. Cost is around 80 quid. I can't confirm this 100% as I haven't bought it yet but he seemed to know what he was talking about - said it was common and he'd done some before etc.
