I am looking to order my windows soon and am after a little bit of advice.
They do 2 types of window opening slider :

The budget one which is 35 quid plus vat
and
The pro one which is vacuum formed and spring loaded, but its 120 quid plus vat is it worth getting the more expensive ones?

mine are big enough.. they're about 100mm diameter and bring air into the cabin much better because you can push them out to scoop air inwards. also they seal pretty good too

I just fitted the pop-it vents, piece of p*ss to fit yourself.

As they're round all you need is an 83mm hole cutter and they look like they're factory fitted anyway Yes

I fitted one in each rear window, does seem to have improved airflow through the car significantly.

I'd imagine they'd make decent enough side window vents too if you didn't need whole sliders.

well I got the roof vents so I have some air flow anyway. Dont really want to put vents in the rear, but these do look like a good alternative to the front sliders.

Do they leek at all?

I haven't tried them wet yet, but they are certainly a much tighter fit than sliders are.

It actually took me some time to figure it out, as there's no way it can possibly fit at first glance.

They have a metal clip inside which pushes outwards to keep it round and tight in the hole. You remove that clip, you can then bend the vent enough for it to pop through the hole. Once through, re-fit the metal clip from the inside and it holds really nice and tight in the hole.

I think you both have persuaded me. I am sure I can borrow or buy a hole saw from somewhere.

Ricky did you get thermoformed windows all round?

I got my cutter from eBay for about £6 in the end, was after something decent quality but as it happened a cheap one was fine - just run some fine sandpaper around the inside of the cut to smooth it off.

How are you attaching the windows? If you're just rivetting them in place there's no need for thermoformed ones except for the boot, I just bought Lexan offcuts from eBay, did all four windows for about £100 or so.
